I was first offered to try a Tinokis sling when I was trying to get help with a ring sling I had bought. Once I had tried the Tinokis, the ring sling was quickly left to gather dust on the shelf. The Tinokis was so much more comfortable, easier to use and cosier! I have also had a chance to compare the Tinokis to a few other stretchy wraps. I think Tinokis gets it just right when it comes to thickness: thick enough to be supportive, but not so thick that it would feel hot or bulky. I also really like the serged edges instead of hemming: they feel a lot softer and more comfortable. After a few weeks we were completely dependent on our slings. My baby refused to go to sleep any other way, for months, quite literally! We used the slings so much that I had to buy a second one, and both remained in daily use until my daughter grew too heavy for them.

I had a lot of trouble settling my baby in the evenings, and often, the Tinokis was the only thing that comforted her. My sling helped me put her to sleep even when she was ill and uncomfortable, and I cannot imagine having survived that first year without it. My husband even wore it with our baby during those difficult first nights of weaning off breastfeeding. I believe that snuggling into daddy's chest in the sling gave her enough comfort to learn to sleep without nursing, and without mommy. Any mother who has weaned a baby at this age will agree that such an aid is priceless.

I believe in the nurturing quality of this sling so much that I have even started up conversations with strangers on the street using other carriers, like the baby bjorn, to tell them about the Tinokis. Believe me, I have tried them all. I bought 5 different slings before trying this one. This was the last one I brought, and I wish it had been the first.

The Tinokos sling is definitely a must have for all who love to carry their baby. The soft and flexible material makes it very easy to use and very comfortable for both parent and child. At the age of 18 months my son still loves it to be carried in our Tinokis sling.

Unfortunately, I am one of the few fathers carrying my child in a sling. The tinokis sling has been fantastic and given me the opportunity to strengthen my bond with my daughter. The Tinokis sling has given her the safety and closeness to my partner and myself that now at only eight months old she has developed a strong sense of independence and is very courageous. Also, the sling is very comfortable and it is not hard to master the wrapping methods. (Even for a bloke!) Some other slings have given me some discomfort so it was great when my wife came home with this one. The pocket is very handy for my mobile phone too! I would recommend this sling to every father (to be) and mothers too!

During pregnancy I decided to carry my baby rather than have a pram, for the obvious benefits, so I bought a 'run of the mill' baby carrier. Even when she was newly born that carrier gave me shoulder ache. This is where my search started for that perfect carrier. The asymmetrical carriers looked nice but are very unhealthy for your body and my little girl was all crumpled up. The all in one pieces were very easy to put on but didn't give enough back support and put too much pressure on the babies? spine. So 6 slings later and 6 weeks into my daughters life I discovered the tinokis sling. It took me a few tries to get the basic wrap under control but since then I never use anything else. (The trick is to make sure it is a nice snug fit.) My little one is now 8 months old and I still carry her daily for at least 4 to 6 hours. Very comfortable, no backache, good support for baby, and me 'hands free' and it looks nice too. This is the only sling that provides a cover for the head and legs when your baby falls asleep, so I had no worries about blankets and keeping her warm and supported.

I cannot thank you enough for this wonderful sling, every mom or dad should have one!! The best parenting tool so far.

I tried out three or four wrap style slings and wasn't entirely convinced by them. The material of others seemed either too strechy and my baby would end up down by my knees after twenty minutes, or too rigid and I couldn't get him in without twisting his knees round 360 degrees! Then I tried a Tinokis and it was just perfect! We both loved it and used it all the time. My only regret is that I didn't get one until he was about 5 months old; I wish I'd found it when he was a newborn.

Having only ever used structured carriers and pouches I was sceptical about buying a wrap as they look so complicated, time consuming and troublesome. When I first unwrapped it, my suspicions didn't disappear- they just got worse, especially when I flicked through the accompanying instruction manual. However, once I mastered the main tie (which is the basis for many carrying positions), I never looked back. Firstly, the stretchy fabric is great as the baby's weight, curves and position are all accommodated naturally. It also allows for your natural movements to flow through the fabric giving baby a nice relaxing springy feeling- like being back in the womb. The fabric is worn looser than you'd imagine, which is great as you can leave it on all day, including when driving without feeling it. The large pocket covers baby to keep their hands and feet covered from the elements (I also use the Mam Kinder Cover when it's raining or very cold). The front patterned pocket is big and despite looking thin holds a lot (I've had my purse, camera, tissues, keys etc in it). I am tall (6ft) and a size 20 with broad shoulders and there is plenty of fabric to accommodate my physique. You can't feel the baby once they are in and there is no strain on your shoulders or back. I have to do an hours walk each day and It is so easy. A great wrap, especially for novices and sceptical people like me!
